Sparkling Wines


  • Introduce the student in the fascinating world of sparkling.

  • The students will achieve knowledge of the different methods used to produce sparkling wines and the advantages and disadvantages of each one.

  • Also, some specific characteristics for these wines from the point of view of tasting, viticulture, legal issues and so on; all these topics will be covered in this course.

  • A laboratory session and couple of sessions of practical work in the cellar will be given.

  • Visits to a industrial producer are envisaged
